Ina Garten, an American author of cookery books and Emmy Award-winning host of the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina Garten started her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget reports. She initially adored the intellectual challenge of the job, but quickly began to lose interest. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. She spent eighteen years making the shop extremely popular prior to selling it before acquiring a pen to begin writing her first book. There were many more cookbooks, and magazines columns which were added. The Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. She sells many things, from food ingredients food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina did not go to a cooking institute and hasn't worked in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. She is well-known for her unpretentious style of entertainment as well as her simple food preparation. Her most popular recipes include the lemon chicken that she grills in a skillet and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
